Provide home care nursing in Saulteau First Nations, combining wound care, charting, medication checks, and culturally respectful client support.
This Licensed Practical Nurse supports rural community care through the Home Care and Community Health Nursing Program. You will assess needs with the home care nurse, maintain wellness records, and provide services for children, elders, and families. Travel within SFN and surrounding communities is required.
Key Responsibilities: Perform home visits and deliver basic nursing care
Complete wound care, blood sugar checks, and charting
Review medications and monitor client wellness
Support assessments, family needs, and service allocation
Design and deliver services with the health department
Requirements: Licensed practical nurse with First Aid and CPR-C
Emergency and triage training for medical condition assessment
Honest, trustworthy, respectful, and compassionate approach
Cultural awareness and sensitivity when serving clients
Valid British Columbia Driver’s License and records check
Apply practical nursing expertise, rural awareness, and dependable care to home-based services across the SFN community.
