Supervise invoices, payments, and vendor queries for Hitachi Rail Canada Inc. in Toronto. Work full time through a hybrid arrangement.
The Accounts Payable Lead reports to the Director of Accounting within Finance. This position oversees third-party invoice processing, payment schedules, vendor management, and issue resolution. It also supports Treasury, month-end close, financial controls, and communications across business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee timely third-party invoice processing and approvals
Coordinate payments with Treasury and cash flow deliverables
Resolve buyer, quality, inventory, purchase order, and vendor issues
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations
Maintain current process maps and payment procedures
Requirements: University degree in Accounting and Accounts Payable
At least five years of computerized accounting experience
Very positive communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines independently
Ability to work under deadline pressure
Bring invoice supervision, Treasury coordination, vendor communication, and month-end expertise to Hitachi Rail’s Finance operations.
