Tangerine seeks an Accountant focused on financial controls, audit support, and reconciliation process improvements at its North York, Ontario location.
This Finance Control and Analysis position strengthens the accuracy of financial information by investigating issues and improving controls. You will explain account variances, maintain reconciliation procedures, support external audits, and ensure transactions are reflected accurately in the general ledger. The role covers banking and operational accounts.
Key Responsibilities: Explain variances across assigned general ledger accounts
Investigate reconciliation issues across multiple systems
Respond to audit queries and prepare materials
Initiate improvements that reduce manual effort




Update reconciliation procedures and support Finance activities
Requirements: Minimum two years of reconciliation experience
Experience with mortgages, overdrafts, and credit cards
Understanding of IFRS and banking products
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Access
Solid written, verbal, and organizational skills
Use accounting analysis, audit support, reconciliation expertise, and control-focused thinking to improve Tangerine’s financial reporting processes.
