This backend Software Engineer role supports ML model development, execution, and iteration across Lyft. You will own defined tasks, contribute to platform features, and work alongside motivated engineers. The work includes reliable coding, operational monitoring, and technology modernization.
Key Responsibilities: Own defined tasks and contribute to ML platform features
Develop reliable, performant, tested, maintainable backend code
Participate actively in code reviews and feedback
Monitor deployed code and debug issues within scope
Participate in on-call rotations and postmortem actions
Requirements: BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Relevant work experience may replace formal education
One or more years of backend engineering experience
Experience with Python, Go, Java, or similar stacks
Experience with Linux
