Electrical design expertise meets Cameco’s Port Hope conversion facility, focusing on power distribution and instrumentation systems. This is a regular full-time engineering position.As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the site’s design engineering team. Your work covers 600 V three-phase distribution, loop drawings, electrical controls, and power system studies. You will provide technical guidance to operations, maintenance, and projects.Key Responsibilities:
Provide electrical engineering expertise throughout the conversion facilityDevelop and approve electrical and instrumentation drawingsSupport operations, maintenance, and site projects teamsManage selected projects through implementationEnsure solutions comply with codes and Cameco standardsRequirements:
Undergraduate degree in electrical engineeringOntario Qualified Engineer license or active progress toward licensingMinimum five years’ 600 V distribution engineering experienceExperience conducting power system and arc flash studiesWorking knowledge of systems up to 44 kVApply electrical engineering, instrumentation, and technical guidance expertise as Cameco’s site design authority in Port Hope.
