The City of Sarnia seeks an experienced Licensed Mechanic for its full time permanent Public Works department. Reporting to the Fleet Superintendent, you will support Engineering & Operations through vehicle repairs, certification, and required administration. The work follows manufacturer, MTO, and CVOR requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative maintenance on City vehicles
- Inspect vehicles against manufacturer, MTO, and CVOR requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair service vehicles
- Complete vehicle certification and required administrative duties
- Perform fabrication, welding, decal, and light body repairs

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Class G Licence with acceptable abstract
- 310T Mechanic’s Licence required
- Heavy-duty truck troubleshooting program familiarity
- Ozone Depletion Prevention Card within six months
