Royal Alexandra Hospital seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse with operating room certification for peri-operative surgical care in Edmonton.

As an Operating Room Technician in the DTC Surgical Suite, you will provide safe patient care throughout the peri-operative experience. The role requires scrub and circulating competence, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to CLPNA standards, hospital policies, and practice requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide protected peri-operative patient care throughout surgical stays
- Perform scrubbing and circulating duties in operating rooms
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate peri-operative care




- Contribute to quality initiatives and professional work environments
- Support surgical procedures across the DTC Surgical Suite

Requirements:

- Accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program completion
- Active Alberta LPN registration or eligibility for registration
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider certification
- Operating Room Technician certification and three to five years’ experience
- Knowledge of advanced minimally invasive surgery
