Perform venipuncture and ECGs as a Medical Laboratory Assistant I at Alberta Precision Labs in Lethbridge. Serve patients in a public-facing centre.

Working at the Lethbridge Rural Patient Service Centre, you will provide effective, efficient, and secure clinical laboratory service. This temporary full-time role includes specimen procurement, handling, processing, dispatching, and testing. You will also perform procedures, report results, follow laboratory processes, and monitor patient wait times. The position requires independent work and collaboration in a patient-oriented, team-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform venipuncture for registered outpatients and community patients
- Conduct ECGs for registered outpatients and community patients
- Procure,



handle, process, dispatch, and test specimens
- Perform laboratory procedures and report results
- Monitor wait times at the Patient Service Centre

Requirements:

- Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience
- ECG Certification
- Recent phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred
- Patient Service Centre experience preferred
