Locate underground utilities across Grande Prairie as an experienced Damage Prevention Technician using electronic locating equipment and accurate documentation. This is full-time work.

PVS seeks an experienced Damage Prevention Technician for its Grande Prairie, Alberta operation. You will independently locate and mark gas, water, sewer, fiber optic, and electrical utilities. The work includes sketches, reports, stakeholder consultation, equipment management, and safety compliance. Travel throughout the assigned Whitecourt service area is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Locate and verify underground utilities using receiver wands and transmitters
- Mark utilities with spray paint or flags
- Create detailed sketches, reports, and locate documentation




- Consult contractors, developers, builders, and other stakeholders
- Participate in mandatory after-hours on-call rotation

Requirements:

- Minimum three years of utility locate experience
- Valid Alberta Class 5 licence and clean three-year abstract
- USP Locate and Marking certification
- USP Ground Disturbance Level II certification
- Availability for weekends, overtime, travel, and outdoor work
