Support patient care in Pain Management with the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority at Selkirk Regional Health Centre during day shifts.

This Unit Assistant works within the clinical support stream as part of the health-care team. The position requires ward clerk and Health Care Aide certification, patient-care equipment knowledge, electronic health record competency, and MS Office proficiency. Duties follow established policies and support the Authority’s mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform duties related to patient and client care
- Use equipment required for patient and resident care
- Apply established policies while supporting health-care services
- Communicate clearly with patients, clients, and team members




- Organize and prioritize assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Requirements:

- Ward Clerk Certification from a recognized educational institute
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institute
- Current BCLS certification or obtain it within three months
- Demonstrated electronic health record and MS Office proficiency
- Ability to respect confidentiality and culturally diverse populations
