We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Store Assistant Manager to lead our retail team with energy and enthusiasm. Responsibilities

- Assist in managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve sales targets and uphold high standards of service.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and cashiering activities to ensure accuracy and security.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, participate in interviewing candidates, and support onboarding and training initiatives.
- Manage merchandising displays to optimize product presentation and sales performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and maintain organized administrative records including payroll and bookkeeping functions.




- Foster a positive team environment by providing ongoing training & development opportunities and conducting performance evaluations.
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, staff, and customers while maintaining professional etiquette.

Skills

- A love for animals and their owners.
- Proven supervisory experience in retail or store management with strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math for accurate transactions.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
- Ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing responsibilities.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs bags repetitively.

Availability

- Must be available to work a day on the weekend.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
