Our client a long-established full-service law firm is currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Family Law and Litigation Clerk to join their growing firm located in Owen Sound, ON. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy law office environment. Starting hourly wage of $23.00 to $31.00 based on experience.

About The Role

This position as Family Law and Litigation Clerk/Legal Assistant involves supporting lawyers with client intake, preparing and filing court documents, drafting correspondence, managing legal files, scheduling, and handling client communications. It requires strong organization, attention to detail, and experience in a law office workplace, but are not limited to:

- Assisting in Onboarding Clients
- Drafting Correspondence to Court Forms
- Communicating with Other Legal Offices, Including Courts
- Creating Customer Files
- Responding to Emails
- Scheduling Meetings,



Attending Meetings for Closing Procedures
- Posting Transactions to Client Accounts
- Organizing & Maintaining Legal Files & Documents
- Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

- Law Clerk Diploma (Required)
- 2 Years Experience Working in a Law Firm or Legal Setting
- Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills (Required)
- Proficiency in LEAP, Microsoft Suite (Required)
