Independent Plumbing Contractor — Residential Service Work

Location: Calgary, AB
Engagement: Independent contractor / plumbing company partnership
Compensation: 60% to the plumbing partner and 40% to Copperline, after materials and permit costs are deducted.

Copperline is looking for independent plumbers and plumbing companies to take on residential plumbing appointments in Calgary. We handle marketing, customer inquiries, and appointment booking. You bring the experience, equipment, and capacity to complete the work professionally.

This opportunity suits an established independent plumber looking to add booked appointments to their schedule.

What we offer

- Potential for approximately 5–15 appointments per week, depending on customer demand, your availability, and service coverage. Volume is not guaranteed.

How compensation works

Materials and permit costs are deducted from the job total before the remaining amount is split:

- You receive 60%.
- Copperline receives 40%.

For example, a $1,000 job with $200 in materials and permit costs leaves $800 to split: $480 to you and $320 to Copperline, with the $200 allocated to materials and permits. This example excludes applicable taxes.

Your responsibilities





- Attend booked appointments on time and communicate professionally with customers.
- Diagnose plumbing issues, explain the proposed work, and provide clear pricing before starting.
- Supply your own vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Source, purchase, and supply all required materials.
- Obtain all required permits and coordinate inspections.
- Complete work in accordance with applicable codes and requirements.
- Take full responsibility for your work, including workmanship, warranties, callbacks, damage, and related customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate availability and provide job documentation, including invoices and material and permit amounts.

Requirements

- Operate as an independent plumber or plumbing company.
- Hold the qualifications and licences required for the work performed.
- Carry commercial general liability insurance and applicable WCB coverage.
- Have experience diagnosing and completing residential plumbing repairs and installations.
- Be reliable, qualified, and comfortable working independently.
