The Gwich’in Tribal Council seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator for its Health and Wellness Department. Reporting to the Manager, this full-time term position supports relationships with Gwich’in communities, DGOs, Indian Act Bands, and partners. The work keeps activities community-informed and responsive across Inuvik, Aklavik, Fort McPherson, and Tsiigehtchic.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain communication with DGOs, Bands, organizations, and partners
- Coordinate consultations, workshops, meetings, conferences, and gatherings
- Arrange venues, travel, catering, equipment, supplies, and honoraria




- Communicate community feedback to the Health and Wellness team
- Monitor emerging wellness concerns and communicate timely information

Requirements:

- Related diploma or degree, or relevant combined experience
- Community engagement, coordination, event planning, or wellness experience
- Knowledge of Gwich’in communities, culture, governance, and organizations
- Solid communication, organization, computer, and interpersonal skills
- Class 5 licence, travel ability, and clean record check

Support respectful community communication, coordinated Health and Wellness activities, and responsive relationships throughout the Gwich’in Settlement Area.
