We are actively recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist a private male employer who is legally blind while he is at the Hospital for dialyses.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can be the employers voice while they are there.
Start Date: January 1, 2027 (Candidate would need to attend the training shifts prior to the start date)
Location:
- Current Westminster, BC (Royal Columbia Hospital)
Compensation:
- $26.50 per hour
Shifts:
- There is a 2 hour paid training shift in Maple Ridge, BC at the employers home and a 2 hour paid training shift at the Hospital
- Sunday 7:00am to 11:30am
- 1 other day such as Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 7:00am to 11:30am
Personal Support Worker Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
- Transfers to and from dialyses chair, toileting, feeding snacks.
- You will be the employers voice while at the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Fully vaccinated preferred
- Must attend 2 2-hour training shifts prior to start date
- Must be able to be the employers voice while at the Hospital
