Overview

The Licensed Optician supports customers in selecting and using optical products, combining attentive service with accurate, organized work. This role brings together optical knowledge, clear communication, and a practical approach to sales to help customers make informed choices.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers with optical product selection, explain options clearly, and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Support retail sales by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products without losing sight of service quality.
- Maintain accurate records and coordinate relevant information with colleagues to support consistent customer care.
- Apply medical terminology and Epic systems where relevant, and draw on laboratory experience to support optical workflows.

Experience

Required:



Practical optical knowledge, clear communication, customer-focused service, and the ability to support accurate records and routine retail workflows are key for carrying out the role’s duties. Preferred: Optical experience, laboratory experience, familiarity with medical terminology and Epic, and strengths in retail sales, sales, or retail management can support effective customer service and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
