Overview

This is a coordinating position involving responsibility for the development, implementation and maintenance of a quality child care centre for a maximum of 48 children. This person is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Centre.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Financial and Personnel
- Maintain Parent Relationships

The Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership, guiding programs, and administrative functions. This role helps align day-to-day work with organizational priorities and supports effective collaboration across teams.

Duties

- Set priorities and coordinate program management and addressing operational needs.
- Oversee administrative processes and improve workflows to help teams work efficiently.
- Supervise staff, clarify responsibilities, provide guidance, and support consistent performance.

:

- A degree or diploma in a child related area.
- Level 3 Certificate from the Province of Alberta




- Valid Child Care First Aide Certificate
- Police Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search

:

- A minimum of 2-years' experience working with school age children, preferable with exposure to program planning, administration, financial planning and supervisory duties.
- Administrative and supervisory experience an asset.

(An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

- Have a warm and caring personality and a personal commitment to the provision of a quality child care centre.
- Sound leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, being able to establish a rapport with children, staff, parents and community.
- To be able to work without direct supervision, be flexible, dependable and creative.
