Job Overview

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe, orderly environment through attentive observation, visible presence, and timely response to concerns. This sector-neutral role combines surveillance, loss prevention, and clear communication to support people on site and help colleagues address issues consistently.

Duties

- Monitor assigned areas through regular patrols and CCTV, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns promptly.
- Apply loss prevention practices by observing potential risks, following site procedures, and escalating incidents to the appropriate contact.
- Respond calmly to questions or incidents, communicate relevant information clearly, and document observations and actions accurately.




- Coordinate with colleagues to share timely updates and support a consistent response across the site.

Experience

Required: Practical observation, clear communication, accurate recordkeeping, and sound judgment are important for monitoring activity, reporting concerns, and following procedures. Preferred: Experience in security, surveillance, loss prevention, or law enforcement can strengthen your ability to recognize risks and respond effectively; familiarity with CCTV is also beneficial. Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
