Fiddler’s Green Landscaping is looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Crew Leader to join our construction team in Calgary.

We’re looking for someone who knows hardscape construction, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys leading a crew while still being hands-on in the work.

This is a year-round position. Unlike many landscaping companies, Fiddler’s Green continues operating through the winter, including hardscape construction projects. If you’re looking for an opportunity to avoid the typical seasonal layoff, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and work alongside a crew on residential landscape construction projects
- Build patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps and other hardscape features
- Read and understand plans, project scopes and specifications
- Plan daily work and keep projects moving efficiently
- Assign tasks, train crew members and maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Monitor production, quality and job-site progress
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, equipment and job-site setup
- Communicate project updates, challenges and material requirements with management
- Identify potential problems early and help find practical solutions
- Maintain a clean, organized and secure job site
- Operate and properly care for company vehicles, equipment and tools
- Communicate professionally with customers when required

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of hands-on hardscape construction experience
- Strong experience building patios, retaining walls, walkways and other landscape structures
- Solid understanding of base preparation, grading,



drainage and material installation
- Ability to read plans and understand project scope
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors and other construction equipment
- Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, train and motivate a crew
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean, insurable driving record
- Comfortable towing a truck and trailer
- Physically capable of working outdoors and lifting 50+ lbs
- Safety-minded with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Pride in doing quality work and leaving every job site looking its best
