We’re excited to share an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join an established manufacturing organization in Cambridge, Ontario. This position offers the prospect to independently manage full-cycle payroll for approximately 300+ employees. Working closely with Human Resources, Operations, and Finance, the successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Daily responsibilities

- Process weekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll
- Review timekeeping records, overtime, shift premiums, vacation, statutory holidays, and payroll adjustments
- Administer payroll in accordance with collective agreements and applicable legislation
- Manage payroll deductions, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end reporting, including T4s and ROEs




- Investigate payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits, reporting, and process improvements

Mandatory Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle payroll experience, including hourly and salaried employees
- Experience processing payroll in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreement provisions
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory deductions, remittances, and year-end requirements
- Ability to independently manage payroll deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
