JOB DESCRIPTION: Junior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting for two small residential property companies, with guidance from our accounting team, while also providing accounting and administrative support across the group.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, at least one year of relevant experience, and a willingness to learn and contribute wherever needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for two small residential property companies;
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including recording invoices, preparing payments, issuing billings, and following up on outstanding balances;
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies with support from the accounting team;
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules, and assist with month-end and year-end reporting;
- Support banking activities, including preparing account balance updates, making remote deposits, and completing in-person banking errands as needed;
- Coordinate and review monthly employee expense reports,



ensuring receipts, coding, and approvals are complete;
- Maintain accounting files and supporting documentation, including scanning, filing, and correspondence;
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other accounting and administrative duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

- A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience;
- At least one year of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience;
- A sound understanding of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Experience with Yardi Breeze or other property accounting software is an asset;
- Experience in residential property accounting is an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively;
- A willingness to ask questions, learn new processes, and support the team;
- A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

With Mondivan, you will have further compensation to supplement your regular income including health benefits and career development support.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
