Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and trained Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team in a dynamic pharmacy setting. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities for individuals eager to support patient care and medication management. The Pharmacy Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, and providing excellent customer service .

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in data entry ,preparing and filling prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory levels, stock shelves, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy, adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless medication delivery and patient support.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, data entry, and updating patient information.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant in Canada is a must.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology .




- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Demonstrates ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems *Fillware* , wholesaler ordering and inventory management tools
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety standards
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a healthcare setting

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
