Job Description

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who values accuracy, client service, and ongoing learning in a public accounting setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare working paper files and financial statements for compilation engagements.
- Complete personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns using tax software (e.g., Taxprep, Caseware).
- Assist in bookkeeping, GST/HST and payroll filings for various clients.
- Support senior accountants and managers with tax planning and advisory services.
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a skilled and timely manner.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.




- Actively pursuing or completion of CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting/tax software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
