We Move People is recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing client for a hands-on CNC Machinist. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a machinist who enjoys one-off, precision work rather than running the same part all day.

What you'll be doing

- Building and repairing the tooling, jigs, fixtures and prototype parts that keep the production floor running

- Working out the machining approach for each job: sequence, work-holding, tooling and feeds

- Writing programs with CAD/CAM software and at the control, then setting up and running mills, lathes and other CNC equipment

- Checking your own work with micrometers, calipers and height gauges and holding tight tolerances

- Teaming up with engineering and maintenance to troubleshoot tooling problems and suggest design improvements

- Light preventive maintenance on shop equipment and keeping tooling organized

What you bring





- 3+ years of CNC machining in a manufacturing setting, ideally including tool, fixture or prototype work

- Comfortable programming and setting up independently

- Working knowledge of a CAD/CAM package (Inventor, SolidWorks, Mastercam or similar)

- Solid blueprint reading and understanding of tolerances

- Experience on common CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc) is a plus

- Open to occasional overtime
