Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in caring for young adults with special needs in their own homes. As a Caregiver for individuals with various physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and/or medical needs, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for those in your care. Your role will involve ensuring safety and wellbeing of clients at all times, encouraging and supervising activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, maintaining a clean and tidy home environment, laundry, planning and making meals, driving to appointments and activities, making and keeping track of appointments, maintianing communication with client's family as needed.

**The opening we currently have is with a young lady who has well controlled schizophrenia. She lives in a supervised appartment complex and her medications are given by nurses who are on staff 24 hours. Caregiver is required to have a vehicle to take her out of the home to appointments and activities. Day shifts available- 10:00am-4:00pm, 3-5 days per week. Training with current caregivers can begin ASAP.



Must prove to be a good fit for client and must be approved by current caregiver training manager following trainging shifts.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check clearance including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children and young adults

-preference given to candidates with experience caring for indivuduals with special needs and to candidates with relevant educational courses/certificates.

We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. This position starts as part-time, with the potential to add hours up to full-time.
