Our client, a multidisciplinary legal services firm established in Longueuil, is seeking a tax professional to join its team.

This opportunity is intended for a CPA, lawyer or notary with advanced tax training who wishes to advise Canadian SMEs and business owners on a variety of stimulating mandates.

You will work closely with a partner and with the firm’s other professionals to provide an integrated approach and solutions tailored to each client’s business objectives.

The role

- Handle tax planning mandates in collaboration with the partner;
- Advise a clientele composed primarily of Canadian SMEs and business owners;
- Participate in client meetings;
- Draft tax memoranda, opinions and written advice;
- Conduct in-depth tax research;
- Participate actively in technical team meetings;
- Follow up on the implementation of tax planning strategies;
- Collaborate with the firm’s lawyers, notaries and other professionals;
- Contribute to practical tax solutions tailored to clients’ business objectives.

Qualifications

- CPA, lawyer or notary;
- Advanced specialized tax training, including a graduate diploma in tax law or taxation;




- At least five years of relevant tax experience;
- Experience in a skilled services or law firm environment, an important asset;
- Solid research, analytical and drafting skills;
- Ability to explain complex tax matters clearly;
- Autonomy, rigour and sound professional judgment;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with professionals from different practice areas;
- A solutions-oriented and client-focused approach.
