Arete Financial is looking for a Junior Advisor to join our growing team.

About Arete Financial

Arete Financial Inc. is a family owned financial planning firm in Cambridge, serving individuals and families with personalized advice and long term guidance. Our close knit team is built on trust, integrity and a shared commitment to helping clients feel confident about their financial future.

This is a full-time, in office, growth oriented role for someone who wants to build or expand a long term career in financial planning. You’ll start by working closely with our entire team to learn the practice, our processes, and our approach to client service, progressing to work more directly alongside our experienced advisors. Initially preparing for and participating in client meetings, analyzing investments and portfolios, supporting retirement planning, processing and compliance work, while following through on client needs.

As you grow in the role, you’ll take on increasing responsibility for client communication, identifying opportunities and developing client relationships. Arete’s junior advisor model includes mentorship from senior advisors while strengthening effective habits around client calls, meetings, CRM documentation and follow up.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Post secondary education in business, finance, economics, financial planning or a related field




- Personal drive to create a long term career or practice in financial planning and wealth management
- Professionalism and care; you communicate clearly, respect confidentiality, and want clients to feel well looked after
- Coachability; you receive feedback professionally, apply it, and keep improving.
- Attention to detail; you check your work, value accuracy, and develop reliable systems.
- Team-mindedness; you collaborate respectfully and contribute to a small office where everyone’s work matters.
- Integrity; solid follow through and willing to take accountability

Assets include:

- Previous experience in financial services, investments or insurance
- Financial services licensing or industry coursework
- Progress toward a CFP designation
- Experience working in a client-service or relationship focused environment

- Salary: $50,000–$70,000, based on experience and qualifications
