Newton Community Dialysis Unit is seeking a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse for its Renal team. The successful nurse provides direct care, establishes therapeutic relationships, and works with families, Physicians, and inter-professional professionals. Candidates need Nephrology specialty education, or may access Fraser Health sponsorship for affiliated in-house training through BC Renal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide and evaluate nursing interventions for renal patients
- Establish therapeutic relationships based on empathy and respect
- Set priorities, delegate tasks, and coordinate nursing care
- Teach health maintenance,



illness prevention, and self-care
- Mentor current nursing staff and students as assigned

Requirements:

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Current BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
- Two years of recent related clinical experience
- Nephrology post-graduate education or equivalent education and training
- Clinical proficiency and physical ability to perform duties
