Build Planitar’s next-generation reality capture algorithms in hybrid Waterloo, Ontario, integrating LiDAR, cameras, IMU, and advanced 3D computing.
As an Algorithm Developer, you will help turn multimodal sensor data into high-quality 3D outputs for the Planix system. Your focus includes robust APIs, embedded-ready software, point cloud processing, mesh generation, and continued algorithm improvement. You will work with engineering, embedded firmware, visualization design, and draft operation stakeholders to deliver recent capture capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize multimodal processing from raw photons to meshes
- Design, test, deploy, and improve reconstruction algorithms
- Fuse and align camera, depth, GPS, and IMU streams
- Productionize prototype algorithms for downstream product teams
- Deliver accurate, reliable, and efficient processing
Requirements:
- Three-plus years of algorithm development and deployment experience
- Relevant degree in a technical discipline
- Linear algebra, projective geometry, and numerical optimization foundation
- Point cloud filtering, alignment, meshing, photogrammetry, or SLAM experience
- Advanced C++ and Python programming with computer vision frameworks
Use 3D geometry, computer vision, and production software skills to advance Planitar’s Planix reality capture system.
