As an Intermediate Accountant, you assist the Accounting Manager across Head Office Accounting’s daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end work. Your responsibilities span fixed assets, parts inventory, Canadian and United States sales tax returns, and Statistics Canada reporting. You will also contribute to ad hoc accounting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and maintain fixed asset records
- Analyze parts inventory during semi-annual reviews
- Prepare Canadian and United States sales tax returns
- Prepare quarterly Statistics Canada reports
- Assist with accounting projects and required tasks
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting
- Two years of related experience or equivalent combination
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Robust communication, planning, and relationship-building skills
