Help guide developmental activities as an Early Childhood Teacher Aide in Westbury, supporting play-based, language-enriched classroom learning.

The Teacher Aide works in a daycare classroom at Westbury Post Avenue. This full time schedule covers Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus five weekly aftercare hours. The licensed program is guided by New York State Learning Standards and regulated by OCFS and the New York State Board of Education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support developmental activities for children in the assigned classroom
- Maintain an effective classroom environment
- Oversee assigned assistant group leaders
- Communicate appropriately and timely with children’s families
- Develop professional knowledge relevant to enrolled children

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED with related experience
- Twelve Early Childhood college credits and CDA, or AS degree
- Excellent communication skills
- Required registry, criminal background, and fingerprint clearances
- NYS Teacher Assistant Certification within six months of hire
