This Journeyperson Powerline Technician role combines energized work, system switching, and equipment installation across unionized projects. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, you will work on overhead and underground systems while modeling Valard’s HSE policies. Local residence or reasonable commuting distance is required, along with willingness to join CUSW.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out advanced live line work procedures
- Teach basic live line procedures to apprentices
- Maintain poles, towers, guy wires, and distribution equipment
- Splice, solder, and insulate conductors for connections
- Lead hazard assessments and fall protection planning

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Powerline Technician 434A or Red Seal
- Demonstrated energized work and system switching experience
- Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
- Ability to read construction prints and electrical schematics
- Valid driver’s licence with acceptable driver’s abstract
