Island Health seeks an Occupational Therapist for its Regional Pain Program, emphasizing patient assessment, education, and chronic pain rehabilitation planning. The temporary assignment is 0.71 paid FTE.

This Occupational Therapist works with an inter-disciplinary Pain Program team and receives clinical support from the Manager, Pain Program. The position serves patients and clients within a chronic disease management framework. Responsibilities include assessing needs, coordinating care plans, providing education, referring to community resources, and supporting ongoing self-management and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Pain Program inter-disciplinary team
- Assess and evaluate chronic pain patient care plans
- Implement patient education materials and sessions




- Coordinate referrals to community-based resources
- Support ongoing rehabilitation and self-management planning

Requirements:

- Recognized university education in Occupational Therapy
- Current College of Health and Care Professionals of BC licensure
- Eligibility for Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists membership
- Two years recent related tertiary chronic pain experience
- Robust collaboration, communication, and group leadership abilities
