Legislative review and policy analysis anchor this permanent Edmonton role within Alberta Justice’s Administrative Law Programs division. Work Monday through Friday, 36.25 hours weekly.

As Policy and Divisional Support Coordinator, you will support legislative frameworks for branches and tribunals operating across multiple areas of law. Responsibilities include coordinating priorities, consulting stakeholders, preparing decision materials, and supporting policy and project implementation. The position also contributes to innovation and modernization within the justice system while helping maintain responsive legislation aligned with government priorities. Administrative Law Programs supports fair, effective, and accessible alternatives to traditional court processes, including SafeRoads Alberta, Family Support Order Services, and the Alberta Human Rights Commission.

Key Responsibilities:





- Conduct legislative reviews supporting program outcomes and strategic priorities
- Coordinate consultation on policy and procedural changes
- Develop legislative and policy documents, including cabinet reports
- Support cross-ministry and external policy initiatives
- Provide guidance on new initiatives and ongoing procedures

Requirements:

- Related university degree in law, public policy, economics, or similar
- Minimum two years of progressively related experience
- Knowledge of policy, program, and legislation implementation
- Research methods, project management, or data management experience is an asset
- Experience with legislative and policy changes is an asset
