Develop automation proposals using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and technical cost estimating for Eclipse Automation’s in office Cambridge, Ontario team.

As an Account Manager Applications Engineer, you will support sales account managers developing custom automated manufacturing solutions. The position coordinates mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, assembly manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. You will prepare layouts, specifications, estimates, budgets, and quotation proposals while addressing technical risks. Customer design support includes vertically integrated components and complex electromechanical assemblies. The work also includes technical follow-up during engineering, procurement, and construction. Eclipse Automation operates across Canada, the United States, and Hungary, with this role based in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare specifications, estimates, budgets, and quotation proposals




- Develop equipment layouts and cell layout drawings
- Identify technical risks and mitigate their project impact
- Provide customer design support for complex assemblies
- Follow technical activities through engineering, procurement, and construction

Requirements:

- Mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering education or equivalent experience
- Excellent AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
- Expert-level Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience integrating hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls
- Working knowledge of CSA, ANSI, and CE standards
