Shape rigorous electro-optical testing at Inpho through PAM4 measurements, equipment calibration, and defensible characterization methodology.
This Senior Electro-Optical Validation Engineer leads validation for Inpho’s next-generation InP-based optical components and photonic chips. You will own device-level testing, from measurement configuration through technical sign-off. The position requires practical knowledge of lasers, modulators, detectors, and optical networking testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define repeatable methods separating device performance from equipment artifacts
- Own high-speed equipment configuration, calibration, troubleshooting, and vendor interactions
- Configure EAM, EML, and PD measurements across pad geometries
- Analyze S-, Y-, and Z-parameter representations and extract alignment values
- Collaborate with design and test teams on device troubleshooting
Requirements:
- Eight-plus years of hands-on optical networking or related engineering experience
- Experience with IMDD and PAM4 testing and InP component characterization
- Proficiency debugging high-speed test equipment and developing Python analysis
- Knowledge of semiconductor laser, modulator, and detector operation
- Exceptional analytical judgment and attention to detail
Bring electro-optical testing leadership, calibration discipline, PAM4 expertise, and semiconductor device knowledge to Inpho’s validation work.
