Develop occupational therapy practice at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke, near Weston-Super-Mare, as a Band 5 or newly qualified therapist. Clinical supervision supports your work.

You will work across adult mental health inpatient services, including rehabilitation, PICU, acute, and personality disorder care. The role combines caseload assessment, treatment, and person-centred sessions with coordinated multidisciplinary working. Newly qualified therapists can access a comprehensive 12-month preceptorship programme.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage an allocated occupational therapy caseload
- Assess patients’ occupational dysfunction and treatment needs
- Provide individual and group therapy interventions
- Work alongside psychologists, therapists,



and activity coordinators
- Support service users’ progression through clinical care

Requirements:

- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Interest in mental health occupational therapy
- Understanding of occupational therapy processes and interventions
- Solid communication and time management abilities
- Passion for student education and supporting others
