Use crane operation and arboricultural expertise on site in Victoria with Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited.
As an Arborist Foreperson, you will lead crews, equipment, and specialized work for Davey clients. The full-time, year-round position combines field leadership with safety accountability, preventative maintenance oversight, and team development. You will also support recruitment and other regions when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expertise on specialized arboricultural jobs
- Operate equipment including cranes up to eight tons
- Oversee preventative maintenance for location equipment
- Support recruitment, mentorship, training, and development
- Assist other regions when required
Requirements:
- Forestry, horticulture, or landscaping background preferred
- Three or more years as a supervisor or lead
- Required certificate for crane operation up to eight tons
- Understanding of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Robust tree, knot, and shrub identification skills
