The YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador offers full time permanent and substitute opportunities across its Pre-K child care locations. This work supports families and children through the Playing to Learn emergent curriculum. Educators create respectful environments, follow provincial requirements, and maintain YMCA policies, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- See the world from a child’s perspective
- Develop children’s confidence, healthy behaviours, and values
- Maintain respectful and inclusive environments
- Build relationships by greeting people and anticipating needs
- Supervise children and respond quickly during emergencies

Requirements:

- AECENL Pre-K Classification
- Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, or degree
- Early learning or equivalent child care experience
- Standard or Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C
- Reliability, punctuality, and personal discipline
