Build detailed electrical designs for Calgary-based or remote Lauren projects, supporting power distribution, controls, and brownfield facility modifications.
This Intermediate Electrical Designer position supports multiple concurrent projects across oil and gas midstream, pipeline, and industrial facilities. Lauren Services needs a technically capable designer with 4+ years of EPC, EPCM, or engineering consulting experience. You will develop practical, constructible deliverables from early design through field execution while coordinating with technical leads and other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop power and electrical equipment layouts
- Maintain electrical load lists and cable schedules
- Prepare single-line, wiring, loop, and installation drawings
- Support field verification and incorporate site conditions
- Review packages for accuracy, constructability, and quality
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or related education
- 4+ years designing within EPC, EPCM, or consulting environments
- Oil and gas industry experience with power and controls
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or comparable engineering software proficiency
- Robust technical problem-solving and communication skills
