Support anatomic pathology services with specimen traceability, tissue embedding, and clinical documentation at Dynacare’s Brampton laboratory.
As a Pathology Assistant on the Histology team, you will help provide timely clinical and scientific quality through varied testing and current technology. This onsite, contract full time appointment lasts 12 months and follows Monday to Friday overnight shifts. Work takes place from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. at 115 Midair Court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical histories and identify patient specimens positively
- Open, separate, number, and arrange specimens
- Trace requisitions, worksheets, portions, and results
- Maintain accurate records, inventories, and quality assurance documentation
- Observe laboratory, company, and Ministry guidelines
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Microanatomy
- Knowledge of Histology, Medical terminology, and Gross Anatomy
- Excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize specimens and multitask under pressure
- CAP certification is beneficial
