Journeyperson welders can apply MIG expertise to heavy-duty equipment at Major Drilling’s in-person shop in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The Monday-to-Friday schedule runs 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This Welder position supports Major Drilling’s operations and maintenance teams. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty equipment while performing welding operations. The work includes reading blueprints, assembling components, and meeting required weld standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform welding operations on heavy-duty equipment
- Read specifications, blueprints, symbols, and work orders
- Assemble and weld components using MIG processes
- Adjust voltage and amperage settings as required
- Operate tools, cranes, plasma torches, and welding equipment

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Welder certification required
- Red Seal certification considered an asset
- Experience repairing or customizing mining equipment
- Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass required screening and fit testing
