Support global rail technology projects by testing signaling software in Scarborough, Ontario, using interface and system integration testing skills.
As an Intermediate Software Analyst, you will help ensure software quality for major transit systems and United Kingdom rail signaling projects. This is a testing position, not development, involving black-box evaluation, operational scenarios, and desktop simulation environments. You will work with developers and systems engineers while developing knowledge of CBTC signaling and rail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write recent test procedures and operational scenarios when needed
- Perform interface and system integration testing in desktop simulations
- Run operational and stress test scenarios
- Find failure root causes with developers and systems engineers
- Identify safety-related defects and improve testing processes
Requirements:
- Three to five years of software testing experience
- CBTC or rail signaling testing experience strongly preferred
- Transportation testing experience in aerospace or automotive considered
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects
- Lab availability and at least two weekly on-site days
Bring testing discipline, safety awareness, and rail signaling interest to software quality work supporting large-scale transit systems.
