Drive high-loader catering vehicles in Halifax while coordinating aircraft loading, safety checks, and flight schedules. This full time position pays $21.81 hourly.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Air Side Team, the Driver loads and off-loads catering materials according to schedules, lists, labels, and customer requirements. The work requires a Class 5 license, a clean driving record, English communication, and previous similar experience. Responsibilities include vehicle checks, secure loading, paperwork, and communication during irregular operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather catering materials and complete timely vehicle loading
- Perform pre-trip truck checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Load and unload aircraft using schedules, labels, and stowages
- Coordinate injuries, accidents, shortages, and block outs
- Follow security, safety, SQOR, and company procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma and Class 5 license
- Clean driving record and completed driver’s abstract
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Availability for rotating eight-hour shifts and overtime
- Ability to work at heights up to 20–25 feet
