Operate equipment and manage waste safely as a Labourer Driver with KBL in Yellowknife, NT, supporting outdoor Waste Services operations.
Reporting to the Lead Hand, this role handles waste preparation, transportation, loading, unloading, and customer drop-offs. You will follow Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations, conduct equipment inspections, and complete required documentation. The work requires physical fitness, strong listening, and safe equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, handle, and prepare waste under TDG regulations
- Load and unload trailers for customer drop-offs
- Inspect equipment and complete daily maintenance
- Complete load sheets and inventory reports accurately
- Report near misses and incidents promptly
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record
- Class 3 driver’s license considered a strong asset
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Previous Northern labour or driving experience is an asset
