As a Senior HVDC Design Engineer, you will support Manitoba Hydro’s HVDC converter and transmission stations. The work includes design, modernization, technical leadership, and consultant management for capital projects. Experience in power systems, protection and control, industrial automation, power generation, renewable energy, or complex utility environments is welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HVDC systems, controls, and protection design activities
- Develop conceptual design reports and engineering packages
- Review consultant designs for specifications and standards compliance
- Direct project deliverables, schedules, estimates, and technical coordination
- Prepare commissioning and acceptance testing procedures
Requirements:
- BSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Minimum seven years of directly related experience
- At least two years directing engineering personnel
- Qualified membership with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence and transportation flexibility
