Maintain hospital infrastructure and mechanical systems as a 4th Class Power Engineer at Nova Scotia Health’s Digby General Hospital. Casual relief hours apply.

This CUPE Support position reports to the Chief Engineer or Assistant Manager within FMS Plant Operations. You will support facility operations by repairing equipment, monitoring boilers, and maintaining building systems. The assignment includes medical gas and vacuum system knowledge, safety-code awareness, and possible travel to other sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure equipment
- Carry out building operations and maintenance activities
- Monitor boiler systems under applicable Nova Scotia regulations
- Repair associated boiler systems and equipment as directed
- Perform general maintenance throughout the hospital facility

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Nova Scotia 4th Class Power Engineer License
- Current license proof required before interview
- Knowledge of labour and safety codes
- Ability to lift over 40 pounds and travel as required
