As a Bricklaying Tutor in Sodexo’s Industries Department, you will teach practical trade skills and classroom-based bricklaying. You will help learners work towards recognised vocational qualifications while developing confidence for employment on release. Explicit communication, safe working habits, teamwork, and constructive feedback are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and classroom-based bricklaying training
- Plan lessons supporting vocational qualification progress
- Adapt teaching for different abilities and needs
- Monitor attendance, progress, achievement, and feedback
- Follow prison security and health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Qualified bricklayer with strong practical skills
- Solid bricklaying industry knowledge and experience
- Ability to explain techniques clearly
- Patience, enthusiasm, and learner motivation
- Teaching or assessor qualification advantageous, not essential
