Lead traffic control operations with The Universal Group as a Lane Closure Technician across the Interior, working outdoors in all weather. Use current TCP certification and site leadership skills.

This Lane Closure Technician position supports roadworker, crew, and public safety across varied work zones. You will set up, maintain, modify, and remove traffic control measures for underground, utility, electrical, paving, road building, and special-event work. The role requires explicit directions, regulatory knowledge, and accountable coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Traffic Control persons during setup and teardown
- Establish signs, delineations, and traffic control zones
- Direct motorists with clear traffic control signals




- Monitor work zones and modify controls as scopes change
- Complete risk assessments, reports, and safety communications

Requirements:

- Minimum six months of BC LCT experience
- Current WorkSafeBC-recognized TCP certification or equivalent
- Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC Traffic Control Regulations, Part 18
- Availability weekdays and outdoors across the Interior
