Assess and deliver therapeutic recreation services as a part-time Recreation Therapist with St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Apply clinical planning and evaluation skills.

This casual, part-time clinical position serves patients across designated Hamilton sites. The Recreation Therapist uses functional intervention, leisure education, and recreation participation within a holistic approach. Practice follows Therapeutic Recreation Ontario standards, ethical guidance, and the Leisure Ability Model.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess patient recreation and leisure needs
- Plan individualized therapeutic recreation programs and services
- Implement group and individual interventions
- Evaluate recreation and leisure programs
- Guide volunteers and precept students

Requirements:

- Therapeutic Recreation degree, diploma, or post-graduate diploma
- Current R/TRO or CTRS designation
- Maintained TRO membership in valuable standing
- First Aid, CPR, and relevant crisis training
- One year related clinical experience preferred
